Artist & Futurist
Topic: Transformative Arts, Transhuman Vision, And The Era Of Self-Directed Evolution
Dinorah Delfin is a Conceptual Multi-Media New York Artist and Futurist with a clear mission: to advocate for the ethical use of emerging technologies to help steer humanity into a thriving metahumanity.
At the age of 15, Ms. Delfin entered college with the hopes of graduating with a degree in Biochemical Engineering. Given the unstable political and economic situation in Venezuela, her place of birth, she moved to the United States where she graduated with honors in Entrepreneurship Management, and a minor in English. During this time, Ms. Delfin won several competitions for best business plan, she invented and obtained a patent for a pregnancy garment to help alleviate postural discomfort, and founded the Simon Bolivar Entrepreneurs Association (SBEA), a college organization which connected hundreds of students with established business leaders and assisted with business planning.
Ms. Delfin’s relentless curiosity about existential matters lead her to realize that art, just like science, was a powerful tool to explore the same fundamental mysteries of nature and in 2008 she founded ArtDimensional Studios, Inc. to integrate her passion for creative expression, science, and working independently. Ms. Delfin’s artworks and activism are aimed to raise critical questions about emerging techno-social structures as they become more embedded in our lives, and our evolving definition of humanity, individual sovereignty, and general happiness and sense of purpose. She is inspired by the idea of self-directed evolution, holistic living, and in understanding the mysteries of consciousness. In 2010 Ms. Delfin had her first solo show at Elga Wimmer Gallery in Chelsea, N.Y., and has since received critical recognition and praise by famed New York art critic Jerry Saltz, been featured in several publications and exhibitions around the world and was recently featured in the monumentally historic “Transhumanism Handbook” (2019) by Springer International.
Ms. Delfin artistic exploration and interdisciplinary research lead her to discover the Transhumanist Movement. In 2018, she became the first woman to serve in the executive board of the United States Transhumanist Party (USTP) where she is also a contributing writer. She belongs to several transhumanist and futurist groups on social media and is the founder and administrator of the New York Transhumanist Party Facebook platform. Dinorah is not only a passionate advocate of Transhumanism, she has also participated in protests for women’s right as part of the Scarves in Solidarity initiative in New York, and has participated in the Occupy Wall Street Movement where she was the poster girl for the original ad that launched the movement.
A Foreign Ambassador of the Transdisciplinary Agora For Future Discussions (TAFFD’s) and an Editorial Advisor for Springer’s International Series on Transhumanism, Ms. Delfin is currently scheduled to appear on several podcasts and conventions around the world to give talks about transhumanism and transformative arts and she is also scheduled to publish a book on Transhuman and Posthuman studies in 2020.
Ms. Delfin is particularly interested in connecting experts and visionaries from across disciplines in order to help address humanity’s existential challenges. Her goal is to become a Transhuman World Ambassador and be able to assist countries devastated by corruption, such her beloved Venezuela, towards Enlightenment and the prospect of a Fourth Industrial Revolution.
A universal blood donor, Ms. Dellfin’s hobbies include learning, drumming, hiking, and creative writing and problem solving.
